Adding Dimension (Part 2)
Posted on 21 October 2008 by Tracey Grundy

Step 2 - Once all seven petals have been cut out, ink the edges of each petal with a Black StazOn ink pad. Fold up the pointed tip of each petal, approximately 1cm from the end. Take each petal and roll the petal over your index finger or a pencil to give a more 3 dimensional effect.

Step 3 Select the background paper to be used for the project. Measure and cut the paper to leave approximately 1cm border at the top and bottom of the card. Apply double-sided tape to the reverse of the paper. Remove a small section of the backing of the double-sided tape for each corner and lightly adhere to your card. Once the paper has been positioned correctly secure each corner of the paper with the double-sided tape then remove the backing on the rest of the tape and secure in place.

Step 4 - Draw your design in pencil on the borders at the top and bottom of the card. Go over the pencil lines with a black permanent fine liner pen.

Step 5 - Embellish the border design with other coloured pens. Ink the edges of the card with a Black StazOn Ink Pad.

Step 6 - Apply double-sided tape to the folded tip of each petal. Position each petal before removing the backing of the double-sided tape and adhering to the card front. Cut a rough circle from card. Ink the edges then adhere to the centre of the flower with foam pads. Add black and white rough lines to the petals for effect.

Step 7 - In pencil, draw out the text you want on the front of the card. When you are happy how it looks go over the pencil lines with a black permanent fine liner pen.

Step 8 - Colour in the text. Add two more circles to the centre of the flower with foam pads after inking the edges with the Black StazOn ink pad. Attach four black brads to the card front, one in each corner, to finish the card.
