Crafting on a Budget

We’ll bring you a project you can create with everyday items you would probably not have looked at twice as you throw it in the bin.  This time, Fiona Haigh-Gannon shows you how to transform an empty drinking chocolate container into a handy storage holder for your pens.

Cut two strips of paper to fit and use Mod Podge or double sided sticky tape to adhere the paper strips to the tub.

TOP TIP
If using Mod Podge, use a tissue to smooth out the air bubbles once you’ve stuck the paper to the tin!

Apply ribbon adhesive or double sided sticky tape to some co-ordinating ribbon.

Wrap the ribbon around the middle of the tub to cover the join between the two papers.

    Certainly is very handy. Fe has also used an empty carton for a ribbon store, punching holes around the top edge with her Cropodile, for the ribbons to be threaded through.

    Brilliant ideas and from the instructions above, looks very easy to make.
