Summer Wedding Mini Makes - Tools & Techniques

Posted on 15 October 2008 by Tracey Grundy

Tracey Grundy shows us some Mini Makes based on our Summer Wedding theme including examples of different materials and techniques to try for wedding cards, gift tags or even toppers.

There are a multitude of stickers available on the market. Stickers such as these which give definitions of ‘love’ and ‘lifetime’ are ideal for a wedding and have been linked together with ivory buttons, stitched on with pink thread in keeping with the colour scheme.

For this example, miniature playing cards have been ‘stitched’ together on these hand cut larger colour co-ordinated cards.  To finish, rub-ons have been added for a stunning final result.

You can decorate a pre-cut tag oreven cut your own to size. For this example two coloured circles had hearts punched out of them which were then tied together with ivory ribbon.  The technique of hand writing a sentiment in the shape of a heart could have the couple’s names, wedding date or a good will message.

This example shows a coloured rub-on which has been finished off with a jewel. The doves have been adhered with foam pads to give the impression that they have just flown together.

This example shows how pre-cut themed chipboard shapes can be used for a speedy result.  Simply add the ribbon and adhereto the prepared circles.
