Recently we have had a few CHRISTMAS FREEBIES for you to download. Well here are the fantastic creations our readers have produced with those very images.
The first image was the ‘mErRy ChRiStMaS’ text drawn by Tracey Grundy:
Debbie Moore decorated this candle from being a plain cream coloured candle to a gorgeous Christmas candle.
The technique Debbie used to get the text onto the cande is:
- Debbie added the coloured text to the candle by printing onto tissue paper
- The tissue paper was then adhered to copy paper with sellotape and put it through the printer
- Debbie then cut close around the image and placed it on candle and held it in place with greaseproof paper
- Debbie then gently melted the greaseproof paper with a heat gun until the image changed colour
- The greaseproof paper was then removed and voila the image is permanently in place
Debbies tip: You can also stamp onto the tissue paper and colour with water colour pencils etc – but don’t overwet as the tissue paper may tear – let it dry and cut out and follow instructions as above.
Debbie also used an old beaded necklace and added berries from some old Christmas crackers to finish off the decoration of the candle.
Stephanie Block made these two great cards with the text also. The first card had the greeting printed onto acetate then glittered the underside. The acetate is raised on foam pads.
This second card by Stephanie Block had the text coloured in with gel pens and then raised it on foam pads.
We also had this Christmas tree which was also hand drawn by Tracey Grundy:
Fiona Haigh-Gannon made this gorgeous card with the tree image, adding a bit of sparkle and bling to the baubles and the star.
We also had these images of Claire and Snowman which were came blank for you to colour in or pre-coloured as below:
Debbie Moore made another great card with these images and added some extras including the hat and robin on the snowman.
Tracey Grundy drew this gorgeous blank image of an angel:
Heather Smith took the colouring in, one step further and produced this fabulous angel, adding a bit of bling. Check out Heathers blog – http://www.scrapurheartout.blogspot.com
Our own Design Team Member, Debbie Moore gave you this gorgeous Teddy with Snowman:
And a fellow Design Team Member, Fiona Haigh-Gannon used Debbies image and made this lovely card.
Finally, Tracey Grundy hand drew this little Nativity Scene which was left blank for you to colour in as you wish:
Heather of Vanilla Hev’n did exactly that and by colouring in the image in two different colour ways, created these two cards. Check out Heather’s blog – http://vanillahevn.blogspot.com
Susan Kell also shows us her version of the Nativity image too.
