Clearly Perfect Series - #3

Transparent or translucent items can come in many forms. A good place to check out is your local stationers. It looks like Tracey Grundy has done just that with the examples she shares with us now.
A translucent A5 ring binder can be so much more than what it first set out to be when stocked at the local stationery shop.
By applying alcohol inks to the underside of the folder (inside sections) this can transform what was a plain ring binder to a potential crafty album. Black StazOn has been used to stamp the Fancy Pants corner designs to ensure that the ink will stay put.
By adding a rub-on to the front of the binder you now have a fully fledged album. The final touch is a little bit of bling with some coloured gems and all you need now is to fill the album with memories.
This next example was made using a translucent plastic gift bag.
The floral designs have been hand drawn directly onto the bag and coloured in using permanent ink pens. To give the bag a bit of a 3D aspect, a bloom has been attached with a brad and a ‘Gem Styler’ (which can be used to decorate anything from clothing to lampshades) was used to add a bit of bling.

I love what you’ve done with the binder and the bag, although the binder is my favourite will definetly have to give this a go.

These are wonderful Tracey, and you’ve really inspired me to try something different - I want to challenge myself to make something other than cards, and your projects really appeal to me. Will have to dig out my alcohol inks at the weekend!
