Monster Card

Posted on 16 February 2009 by Tracey Grundy

We know that coming up with new ideas for cards can sometimes prove difficult, but ideas for male cards, men & boys alike, is a whole different story.  Tracey Grundy has come up with a fun idea for a Monster Card, kids are sure to love.

Although there is a little bit of drawing involved in creating this card, there is not a lot of skill required as the templates for the monster face and fingers have been included.

You can either copy or trace the monster head, which was then coloured in with watercolour pencils in muted browns and greens.  once you are happy with your monster head, add some random eyelets – it doesn’t have to be perfect which is in keep with the monster theme.

Once you have your monster fingers cut out and coloured in, both the head and fingers should be adhered to the card front with foam pads.  The sentiment was added by using a Dymo machine.

Why not have a go at making other types of monsters or even aliens.  Kids will love them.

All images are 300dpi and are free to use in your own personal projects ONLY.  You may resell small numbers of items made using these images but not the images themselves.
